Generational Financial Partners (GenFi) specializes in guiding contractor physicians toward financial clarity. When they approached us in 2024, their request was ambitious: produce an entire year’s worth of thought leadership video content in a single shoot day.

Challenge accepted — and accomplished.

Since then, we’ve repeated the same structured shoot annually, helping GenFi stay consistent with high-quality video content without the ongoing time commitment.

So, what’s our secret sauce?

It all starts with preparation. The GenFi team arrives with a detailed content outline, including the number of videos, subject matter, and talking points. While not fully scripted, their presenters have a strong handle on what they want to communicate, which keeps filming efficient and natural.

On our end, vLink sets the stage using a clean and versatile setup:

  • A white cyc wall and stand-up desk
  • Five-point lighting for optimal clarity and depth
  • Three strategically placed cameras

Here’s how we capture every angle:

  • Camera 1: A wide shot covering both presenters
  • Camera 2: A medium or tight shot of the active speaker
  • Camera 3: A top-down view of the tablet used for visuals
  • Camera 4: A direct screen recording of the tablet for crisp overlays

GenFi rotates several partners through the studio during the day, and the result is a dynamic mix of engaging, insightful content. The content was informative, inspiring and positioned the Geni team as the trustworthy experts they are in their field.

This project is a prime example of how a well-planned, single-day shoot can yield an entire library of educational, thought leadership, or vlog-style videos. When you’re organized and focused, it’s entirely possible to maximize your budget and minimize production time—without sacrificing quality.
